To commemorate the 40th years of Korea-India Diplomatic relations, We’re happy to launch the first Indo-Korean Music Festival 2013 at YAC Ground, Imphal on the 3rd of December, in association with Korean Cultural Centre India.
As part of this celebration, the Korean band BIURET will headline the festival which aims to become one of the biggest cultural festivals witnessed in Manipur. This is the first time for any Korean band to ever perform in the state, which is also home to the largest Korean craze in India.
The festival main objective is to share closer cultural ties between the people of Northeast states and South Korea. The one-day event would also see well-known artists of Manipur and other Northeastern states, including the trio Hip-Hop group BK & INA, Arunachali country pop artist Boby Techi and Imphal based indie rockers The Dirty Strikes.
Prior to the Imphal date, the Korean band will officially launched the most awaited Hornbill International Rock Contest at Solidarity Park in Nagaland’s capital Kohima on December 1, as the International level rock music contest set to go global starting this year wherein more than two dozen rock bands of the country including three International bands are expected to compete for the top spot.
