Mercedes-Benz enters Northeast Luxury car market with Guwahati

India’s top selling luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz inaugurated its first ever dealership showroom ‘Axom Motors’ in the Northeast region at Guwahati on November 7.

Guwahati becomes the 41st Indian city to have a Mercedes-Benz outlet. Located on NH-37 near Sarusajai, the 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility was launched by Managing Director & CEO Roland Folger, Mercedes-Benz India and Managing Partner Sanjive Narain at Axom Motors.

“Axom Motors is privileged to bring the iconic Mercedes-Benz brand for the first time in the Northeast region. Today we are embarking upon a long journey to ensure that our valued customers enjoy a seamless ownership for their luxury cars,” Sanjive Narain said on the occasion.

The dealership is spread over an area of 36,000 sq. ft, making it the largest one-stop destination for luxury car enthusiasts in the entire Northeastern states. It will cater to six service bays where maintenance and repairs of all Mercedes-Benz cars will be undertaken. Also, over 46 professionals will render their services at the showroom.

Roland Folger said, “Guwahati remains the biggest commercial hub of the entire Northeast, which is slowly emerging as a potential luxury car market in India. We are glad to have partnered with Axom Motors to expand our presence in the region and make a memorable experience for our elite customers in and around Guwahati”.

The dealership has delivered 20 cars to its proud customers on the first day itself. The German automobile manufacturer and a division of the parental company Daimler AG, sold 13,558 units in India during the last fiscal year of 2015-16.
