The international renowned Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen will make his debut live performance in India, at the upcoming third edition of the 2016 Orange Festival Dambuk in Arunachal Pradesh on 17 December.
The three days festival will be staged at the breath-taking Lower Dibang Valley’s quaint village Dambuk, starting on December 15, and host an array of adventure sports and line-up including Menwhopause (Delhi), Ganesh Talkies (Kolkata), Antoine (France/Delhi), Yesterdrive (Arunachal Pradesh), The Lightyears Explode (Mumbai), Frisky Pints (Delhi/Mizoram), Shubhangi Joshi Collective (Mumbai), Boby Techi (Arunachal Pradesh) and Ginger Feet (Kolkata/Darjeeling), among others.
“We are happy to announce our first ever show in India,” wrote on his official Facebook page.
With over 20 studio albums to his name spanning over 40 years, Malmsteen is widely considered as one of the most technically accomplished hard rock guitarists to emerge during the late 80s. His music is responsible for birthing the neo-classical genre and guitar phenomenon known as ‘shredding’ to the world of rock.

Dambuk is located about 50 Km (around 90 minutes drive) from Pasighat (off-road) and around 40 minutes drive from Roing. Commuters can also travel from Guwahati by train till Mokokngselek and grab a special shuttle bus to Dambuk at Rs. 250.
