Yesterdrive seems to have finally drive up their way today with their latest Music Video single “Dread’, making them the first Indian band to be featured on “Around The World in 80 Music Videos” series, an ongoing compilation of music videos shot around the world by the Brazilian couple of filmmakers Diana Boccara and Leo Longo.
New Delhi based Northeastern act plays an indie rock style with intense British music influence, having their strength represented by the lead singer’s Molee Lollen powerful voice.
“It was our first music video shot and premiered on the same day. All done on the same Monday. It was a crazy, intense day for us, but we are really glad we made it”, says Diana.
‘Dread’ is the new single from Yesterdrive. It’s, indeed, really fresh from of the oven, since it was mastered just one day before the shoot of the music video. The song talks about overcoming fears and learning that the process to achieve that could be a very fun and amazing experience.
“The song is contagious and makes us wanna dance every time we listen to it. So, we created a story of a shy boy, who would never feel comfortable enough to really dance like himself front of others. With no one around, he just gets loose, surrender to the music and dance like there is no tomorrow,” says Leo Longo, who had previously worked and directed shows for MTV, History Channel, NatGeo, Globo, Record and others.
This is the 32nd music video of the ATW80 project, that still has 4 more music videos to shoot in the Indian capital later this month.
