Arunachalee youth Takar Toko joins Air India as pilot trainee

Not so many flares a chance to fly a machine in the air. This young lad Takar Toko from Poru village, Yazali circle of Lower Subansiri district in Arunachal Pradesh would soon manoeuvre the skies as his second home.

The former Sainik School Kurukshetra (Haryana) pupil has qualified Air India’s (AI) simulator proficiency assessment check (SPAC) to join as senior pilot trainee with A-320 endorsement.

He was among 17 candidates including four ST (scheduled tribes) to qualify the test which was conducted in Hyderabad recently, according to Arunachal Times.

Probably, he would be the fourth person from his state to become a pilot following the footsteps of Kuru Hassang, Mohanto Panging, and Anupam Tangu (Abo), the first commercial pilot from Arunachal Pradesh.
